Chapter 1 · Intro

One dashboard, many installations

Fleet review needs a consistent question across sites, while each installation still retains its own purpose and evidence.

The situation

A service coordinator reviews a small office and a residential property and needs to decide which site deserves attention first.

Compare like questions, not unlike buildings

A fleet is a group of installations reviewed together. A common review lens is one question applied consistently—for example, whether each Miniserver is reachable—while site-specific context explains what the result means. Loxone documents Exosphere as a central place to manage and monitor Miniservers.

Apply “is the Miniserver reachable?” to both sites. A no-response result is comparable, but the next action may differ because the office has business hours and the home has a resident contact. The shared question creates order; the context guides follow-up.

This approach avoids a misleading dashboard habit: ranking sites by a number without knowing whether the number represents the same operational concern.

  1. Write one common fleet question.
  2. Name one context field each site needs.
  3. Explain why the same status may lead to different follow-up.
Takeaway

A fleet view uses one consistent question and preserves the local context needed to act on the answer.
